Five ambassadors of the New York City culinary experience – Josh Russ Tupper and Niki Russ Federman (4th generation owners of Russ & Daughters), Danny Bowien (chef and owner of Mission Chinese Food), Dorie Greenspan (cookbook author and owner of Beurre & Sel), and Amanda Hesser (author and creator of Food 52) – will converse with Sam Sifton (The New York Times) about food not just as sustenance, but as nourishment of history and community. Each panelist is a purveyor of stories and recipes, and each values the idea that feeding people is sharing tradition and allowing it to be taken home.
