VOGUE Living profiled Jonathan Adler and his beautifully fun and especially eclectic apartment in New York. Adler wrote a sidebar for the story - “My List: Manhattan” - and he included Russ & Daughters as one of his top places to shop. He wrote, “RUSS & DAUGHTERS: A gem of a gourmet food store in an old school store front with a neon sign. A downtown New York institution.”
Mutual admiration society: Jonathan Adler is one of my favorite designers. (His business is aptly described as “a design company dedicated to bringing style, craft, joy, and a general feeling of grooviness to your home.”) Among the many pieces of Adler’s pottery that I love, is my seder plate, which features prominently in a segment about Passover that the Russ & Daughters family recently filmed for PBS.
